The KidFic Archive One of the fastest-growing genres of Stargate fanfiction is the "kidfic", which primarily consists of a young Daniel Jackson being cared for by an adult Jack O'Neill. As the genre has expanded, Little Danny has had other guardians and other members of the team have found themselves "littled" as well. Sometimes, it is an adult Daniel who has the responsibility of caring for a down-sized team member!
Today, the definition of a what constitutes a "Little" includes stories about the characters' original childhoods, adult characters who have been turned into children by some means or another, adult characters who have been reduced to the mental and emotional capacity of children, and even child-sized clones of adult characters. The kidfic genre is even a part of canon, in a way, as the seventh season episode "Fragile Balance" introduced a rogue Asgard's creation of a teenaged clone of Jack O'Neill. Another definition of the kidfic involves adult characters and their relationship with their own children, adopted or biological. For this reason, the SG-1 LittleVerse now accepts stories featuring the canonical children of the major characters. The SG-1 LittleVerse hosts the works of 32 authors out of 493 members. A total of 826 reviews have been written about the 317 stories listed here, which are a combined 676 chapters and 1784840 words. The newest member to join the LittleVerse is MahsaPearl. For SG-1, this includes stories about Charlie O'Neill and Rya'c. For SGA, this includes stories about Torren John Emmagan. ("But what about Adria?" you may ask. Let's face it: Adria wasn't really Vala's daughter in any sense of the word, nor was she ever really a child. If you want to argue the point, please email me privately.) Note that these must still be kidfics. For example: stories exclusively featuring Rya'c in a setting after "Sacrifices" will not be accepted, as he must be considered an adult after that. Furthermore, the child must still be the focus of the story, so an SGA story set after the birth of Torren is not acceptable unless Torren and/or an adult's relationship with him is central or consequential to the plot.
